On March 12, singer Larisa Dolina positively assessed the idea of removing the English word from the name of the Ivanushki International group.

"I am grateful to [composer] Igor Matvienko for the decision to remove the word International from the name of Ivanushki International. Let it be just "Ivanushki". Is that a bad thing?" she said in an interview with TASS.

Dolina added that the Russian language is one of the most beautiful in the world. According to the singer, if there is a rich linguistic and cultural tradition in the country, there is no need to use foreign names for performers and groups.

On March 9, Matvienko allowed the possibility of changing the name of the Ivanushki International musical group in connection with a public discussion about limiting the use of foreign words. He also proposed to introduce an additional tax on the use of Anglicisms.
