This year, men searched for gifts for International Women's Day more actively than women for Defender of the Fatherland Day. Megafon's specialists came to these conclusions after analyzing their own sales statistics.

Smartphones became the most popular holiday gift, accounting for 26% of total sales in quantitative terms and 80% in monetary terms. On the eve of the men's holiday, demand for Samsung devices increased by 27%, and before March 8, customers preferred Apple and Realme devices — sales of both brands increased by 80%.

Wireless headphones came in second place in popularity with a 12% share, and external batteries came in third (4% of total sales).

On the eve of February 23, laptop sales doubled compared to January. And before March 8, the popularity of smart watches increased by 70%, wireless headphones by 22% and smart speakers by 19%. Tablets and power banks remained in high demand: before February 23, demand for them increased by about 20%, and before Women's Day — by almost 30%.

Customers aged 35 to 44 from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Samara and Krasnodar showed the greatest interest in buying gadgets.

Analysts noted that the peak of orders in the online store occurred on the dates immediately before the holidays: February 18 and 22, as well as March 6 and 7. Gifts were most often sought in the middle of the working day: most orders in the pre-holiday weeks were placed from 12 to 15 p.m.
