Ukraine continues its consistent policy of obstructing the peace process against the background of the upcoming meeting of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss measures to put pressure on the Russian Federation. This was announced on March 12 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a briefing.

"In this case, the Kiev regime continues its consistent policy of obstructing, probably, the peace process. He does this, tries to do it in different ways, and finds a positive response in European capitals in this case," he said.

According to Peskov, European countries are also "unwilling" to contribute to the search for peaceful solutions. He stressed that the very idea of Europe and Ukraine exerting pressure on the Russian side is absurd.

The Kremlin representative added that the Russian Federation will continue its special military operation (SVO) and at the same time remain open to finding a solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
