The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the use of Tomahawk in an attack on a school in Minaba.

An attack on an elementary school for girls in the Iranian Minab was carried out with the help of two American Tomahawk missiles. This was announced on March 12 by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Esmail Bagai.

"They (the United States - Ed.) used two Tomahawk missiles. The goal was only to ensure the maximum number of victims. They killed about 170 innocent people, a lot of children," he said in an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

Bagai did not confirm that there was an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facility next to the school, but added that the United States and Israel are purposefully hitting civilian targets, calling them military bases.

In addition, he called Washington's attack a shameful aggression that began against the background of Iran's readiness for negotiations. The diplomat also expressed gratitude to Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni for condemning the attack on the school.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump hinted that Iran could buy American Tomahawk missiles from other countries and allegedly hit the school in Minaba on its own. Nevertheless, The New York Times blamed Washington for the attack, and The Washington Post made an artificial intelligence (AI) mistake in intelligence as the reason for the strike.
