Another 120 new buses will arrive in Yakutsk according to the national project
The Yakutsk authorities have received approval for federal funding in the amount of more than 430 million for the purchase of 120 new buses. The cars will arrive within three years, the press service of the head and government of the Sakha Republic reported on Thursday, March 12.
In the current 2026, it is planned to purchase at least 30 new vehicles for leasing. The renewal of the bus fleet makes it possible to improve the quality of passenger transportation.
So, at the end of December, Yakutsk received a batch of 50 comfortable Euroclass buses of the Volgabas brand, which were sent to the most popular urban routes. New cars have been replaced on the lines by outdated ones since mid-January. Only positive feedback was received from the townspeople.
High-class and high-capacity buses are equipped with an assistance system for people with limited mobility and passengers with baby strollers. The length of the vehicle is about 10.5 meters.
The work on updating the bus fleet in the region is carried out within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," writes IA YakutiaMedia.
Earlier it was reported that the construction of the Lena Bridge in Yakutia is carried out around the clock. The project is of strategic importance for the transport connectivity of the Arctic zone with the Far East.
