In total, 52.5 thousand cars have been sold since the beginning of sales of the Russian brand Solaris. There are about 17.5 thousand cars left in warehouses. At the current level of implementation, there may be enough runoff until the end of this year. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on March 12.

So, for two months of the current year, 3,040 Solaris cars were sold. This is 24% more than in January – February of last year (2,458 units). The brand is currently holding 10th place in the sales ranking, but this situation will not last long, the analyst believes.

As Tselikov pointed out, not a single car was assembled at the plant in St. Petersburg in 2026, and the last cars rolled off the assembly line of the plant in December last year. In total, from March 2024 to December 2025, the company assembled just over 70 thousand Solaris vehicles.

The former Hyundai concern plant in St. Petersburg, acquired by the Russian company Art Finance, was renamed the AGR Automobile Plant in early 2024. The company has launched the production of Solaris brand cars, which are renamed Hyundai and Kia. The model range includes HC crossovers (Hyundai Creta), KRS sedan (Kia Rio), KRX cross hatchback (Kia Rio X) and HS sedan (Hyundai Solaris).

Earlier, on February 2, it was reported that Hyundai Motor did not use the option to buy back its former production plant in Russia. As Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, noted, there were no prerequisites and conditions for Hyundai's return to Russia a year ago, when discussions of such a development appeared in the media.
