Security forces prevented a planned terrorist attack by Kiev against a high-ranking Russian military in Crimea. This was announced on March 12 by the Central Control Center of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

"A terrorist act planned by the Ukrainian special services against a high—ranking serviceman of one of the units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has been prevented in the Republic of Crimea," the statement said.
