The State Duma proposed to charge additional pension points for the birth of children.

Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma from the Liberal Democratic Party, proposed awarding additional pension points for the birth and upbringing of children. He wrote about this in a letter to Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, which was reviewed by TASS on March 12.

"I ask you to consider the possibility of introducing a mechanism for calculating additional pension points for children, in which the very fact of the birth of a child and the participation of parents in his upbringing directly increase the future pension," the parliamentarian wrote.
