The State Duma allowed CHOO to use military weapons to protect the facility

On March 11, deputies of the State Duma (State Duma) during a plenary session adopted in the second and third readings a bill allowing specialized private security organizations (PSOs) to use small arms to protect critical infrastructure facilities from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

"The law grants specialized private security organizations the right to obtain small arms and ammunition for temporary use from the territorial bodies of the Russian Guard for use in order to protect special facilities," the press service of the State Duma said in a statement on its website.
