The Moskvich 5 compact crossover project, presented in April 2025, has been closed. This was reported to Izvestia on March 11 by the company's press service.

"According to the results of internal tests in the corporate park, it was revealed that the Moskvich 5 model does not fully meet the criteria for consumer properties adopted by the Moskvich technocluster," the press service said.

It is specified that the Moskvich automobile plant intends to pay attention to the production of Moskvich 3, Moskvich 3e, Moskvich 6 and Moskvich 8 models. In addition, it is planned to focus on the production of a new M line.
