The number of cameras of the Lesohranitor system will be doubled in Primorsky Krai

In the Primorsky Territory, in preparation for the fire season, which has already started in a number of territories, the number of cameras of the Lesohranitor video surveillance system will be doubled. The regional government announced this on Wednesday, March 11.

Last weekend, installers began installing new equipment that will allow them to quickly detect forest fires. 40 more cameras will be added to the existing 37.

According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, cameras are installed on cell towers in 23 districts. Each gives a 360-degree view of the area with a range of up to 20 km.

The agency notes that the decision to expand the "Forest Guard" was made due to the effectiveness that the system had shown earlier. Artificial intelligence detects the fire at the initial stage and instantly transmits all the necessary information to the dispatcher. After analyzing the information received and confirming the fact of the fire, the specialist sends the information to the relevant services, writes IA PrimaMedia.

The news agency notes that the fire season has already been declared in 18 districts of Primorye. It began operating in Vladivostok on March 10.
