The Golyanovo station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya metro line in Moscow is scheduled to open in 2028. This was announced on Wednesday, March 11, by the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, during an inspection of the construction process.

According to him, the Golyanovo district, where about 160 thousand people live, is actively developing: clinics and schools are being reconstructed here, streets and courtyards are being improved, and the road network is being improved, the website notes kp.ru . The new metro station is being built at the request of residents, and work is underway to tunnel and erect the station itself.

The official noted that the construction is ahead of schedule. After the opening of the station, the transport accessibility of the area will improve, and the load on the Shchelkovskaya station will decrease, writes Moscow 24.

The Golyanovo station will appear at the intersection of Ussuriyskaya, Sakhalinskaya and Khabarovsk streets. The interiors will be decorated in a space theme, and Russian metal will be used in the decoration. It is expected that about 30 thousand passengers per day will use the station, and travel time for residents of the area will be significantly reduced, the Moscow City News agency reports.
