Macron stated that the G7 leaders have no intention of lifting sanctions from Russia.
The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) countries have agreed not to lift sanctions against Russia, despite problems with energy supplies in Europe. This was announced on March 11 by French President Emmanuel Macron.
"We also officially stated within the framework of the G7 that this situation in no way justifies the lifting of sanctions against Russia, that this situation should not weaken our attention to supporting Ukraine and clarifying our position on sanctions against Russia," France 24 quoted Macron as saying.
