- The SOE demands to recognize the extremist activities of Galitsky and his corporation
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has demanded that investor Alexander Galitsky and his Almaz Capital Partners corporation be banned as extremist activities in Russia. This is stated in the statement of claim, which was received on March 11 at the Tverskoy District Court in Moscow, a source told Izvestia.
The supervisory authority requests to ban the activities of "an association including Galitsky Alexander Vladimirovich, born on February 9, 1955 in the village of Zarechany, Zhytomyr region of Ukraine, and Almaz Capital Partners Corporation on the territory of the Russian Federation."
Also in the statement of claim, the Prosecutor General's Office demands that all funds in Galitsky's bank accounts and real estate properties registered with him be converted into state income.
In 2025, the court seized Galitsky's property worth more than 400 million rubles. At that time, the list included several luxury real estate properties — an apartment on Patriarch's Ponds in the center of Moscow, as well as two cottages and three parking spaces for a car. Now, as an interim measure, the Prosecutor General's Office demands to seize all the investor's property.
The billionaire's ex-wife, Aliya Galitskaya, was detained in February 2026 in an extortion case. According to investigators, in 2024, she threatened Alexander Galitsky that she would publish information discrediting the billionaire. The woman allegedly demanded to pay her more than $150 million for her silence.
Galitskaya faced up to 15 years in prison, but two days later she committed suicide in an IVS. It became known from the decision of the prosecutor's office the day before that a criminal case was opened against Aliya Galitskaya in the absence of sufficient data indicating signs of a crime.
Izvestia previously reported that Galitsky's Almaz Capital venture fund was involved in major projects to support the Ukrainian economy. A series of grants were allocated to Ukrainian companies after the start of their work, and the businessman himself was listed as a member of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Venture Capital Association, through which this financing went.
Earlier that day, the prosecutor's office demanded to ban the activities of Galitsky and Almaz Capital Partners (LTD) corporation. The reason was the presence of signs of extremism in her work.
