The "second-hand" service proved to be in demand among VTB's older customers
The majority (70%) of users of the "second-hand" service available in VTB Online are over 60 years old, the bank's press service said.
The mechanism proved to be particularly in demand among women — their share was 65%. According to VTB, 69% of customers who have used the service have accounts of up to 2 million rubles, 26% — more than 2.5 million and 2% — from 15 million rubles.
Young people (20-25 years old) are least interested in the service — their share was 3%.
"The second-hand mechanism helps to protect clients' money from fraudsters. For the convenience of users, we simplified the process of connecting the service and brought the tool to VTB Online. We also plan to expand it soon by adding new types of operations," said Alexey Kurzyakov, head of the bank's digital business department.
To enable the service, the user must appoint a trusted person who will confirm major transactions: money transfers or cash withdrawals. This can be done at the branch or online.
Earlier, VTB Online introduced a login and unlock function using state biometrics. The facial recognition algorithm cannot be deceived with a photo, video, or mask.
