On March 2-11, airlines transported 59,000 passengers from the Middle East to Russia. This was announced on March 11 by the head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikitin at a meeting of the final board of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

"Despite the situation, from March 2 to March 11, Russian and foreign carriers performed 284 flights from the Middle East and transported about 59 thousand passengers. I thank the staff of the Federal Air Transport Agency and all employees of the industry for their well—coordinated work," the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation quotes Nikitin in the Telegram channel.

The message also states that Aeroflot is completing its outbound flight program and completed the last two flights from Dubai to Moscow on March 11.

The first passenger flight from Qatar in nine days landed at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport on March 9. It was clarified that the Qatar Airways plane landed at 17:52 Moscow time. Passengers of the first flight from Doha to Moscow told about the flight, footage from Sheremetyevo airport on March 9 is published by Izvestia.
