In 2025, the economic effect of the activities of the Accounting Chamber of Russia amounted to 653 billion rubles, which is 4.4 times more than in 2024. This was announced on March 11 by Boris Kovalchuk, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, during an expanded meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets.

"By the end of 2025, the economic effect amounted to 653 billion rubles, which is 4.4 times higher than in 2024 and 12.3 times higher than in 2023," he said.

It is noted that 294.1 billion rubles were made up of refunds to budgets of all levels and various organizations, which also became the highest result in the history of the Accounts Chamber.

According to Kovalchuk, during the reporting period, 4.6 thousand violations and deficiencies worth more than 1.5 trillion rubles were identified.

The authorities decided to increase their support to the participants of the SVO and increase investments in social services and regions.

In December, the chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia, in an interview with Izvestia, said that the agency had identified personnel development and human capital formation as one of the key priorities of its activities. Kovalchuk noted that the Accounts Chamber has a permanent retraining program for employees.
