The Spanish government has recalled its ambassador to Israel.
The Spanish government has recalled the country's ambassador to Israel, Ana Maria Salomon Peres, according to a decree from the kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on March 11 in the official Spanish State Gazette (BOE).
"I decree to dismiss Dona Ana Maria Salomon Peres from the post of Spanish Ambassador to the State of Israel, thanking her for her services," the decree says.
According to the document, the decision was made at the suggestion of Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares after discussion at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on March 10. The document was signed by King Philip VI of Spain and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Manuel Albares.
