- A mobile residential module will be purchased for the Arctic after the fall of power transmission poles
The Murmansk Region authorities will purchase a mobile housing module for the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations. The decision was made after the fall of the power poles in the tundra.
The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Andrey Chibis. It says that 1.8 million rubles will be allocated from the reserve fund of the regional government for these purposes.
The mobile residential module can be used as an autonomous facility for temporary stay. Inside it there will be furniture, fire extinguishers and a first-aid kit.
The module will be purchased after the completion of all contractual procedures by December 25 this year, Bi-port news agency writes.
Earlier, on January 23, the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis, announced the introduction of a high-alert regime amid emergencies due to adverse weather conditions. Later, the regional prosecutor's office began an inspection due to power outages in Murmansk. Parts of Murmansk, Severomorsk and Safonov were left without supplies. Five poles of power transmission lines (power lines) collapsed following a survey of electricity supply in the Murmansk region.
