More than 200 people were injured in a dog attack in the Tula region
Since the beginning of 2026, 236 people have been attacked by stray dogs in the Tula region. Criminal cases have been initiated in some cases.
According to TSN24, the largest number of attacks occurred in Donskoy, Novomoskovsk, and Tula. Also, a significant number of cases were registered in the Uzlovsky and Shchekinsky districts. In Plavsk, a series of dog attacks occurred in January, and a criminal case is under investigation. Residents of Novomoskovsk also complained about the increase in the number of stray dogs.
According to the monitoring results, the largest number of stray dogs is observed in large cities — Tula, Novomoskovsk, Donskoy. In total, more than 3.9 thousand neglected animals were counted in the region in 2025.
In Yakutia, in early March, the body of a 53-year-old man was found in the village of Serebryany Bor with lacerations and bite wounds. The victim was attacked by a pack of dogs. A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
