Russians named the main items of expenses before the date
Almost half of Russian women — 45% — spend from 10,000 to 50,000 rubles or more on preparing for one date. At the same time, the majority of men — 70% — are sure that such fees do not cost more than 5 thousand rubles. This is stated in a joint study of the CDEK product delivery service for foreign brands.Shopping and Twinby online dating service. The survey data was reviewed on March 12 by Izvestia.
According to the results of the study, 34% of women set a budget of 5,000 to 10,000 rubles for preparing for a date. Another 29% spend from 10 thousand to 30 thousand rubles, 11% — from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, and 5% — more than 50 thousand rubles. Only 21% of the respondents reported that they fit into the amount of up to 5 thousand rubles.
Men estimate these expenses much more modestly. Of these, 41% believe that training costs up to 3 thousand rubles, 29% estimate it at 3-5 thousand rubles, and 17% — at 5-10 thousand rubles. Only 9% admit that fees for a date can cost 10-30 thousand rubles.
The most common items of expenditure before a date are new clothes — 56% of respondents buy them, cosmetics — 48%, as well as manicure and other beauty services - 41%. In addition, 37% of women purchase perfumes, 34% — shoes, 31% — jewelry, 29% — bags and accessories, and 26% do their styling in the salon.
At the same time, 14% of the respondents noted that they do not buy anything specifically for a date. 17% of the survey participants constantly purchase new things before a meeting, 36% periodically, and another 28% did it only a few times.
When choosing clothes for a date, 44% of women focus on the international mass market. 31% of respondents prefer Russian stores, while 27% choose mid-range brands. Premium brands were indicated by 22% of the study participants.
The main reason for additional expenses is the desire to feel more confident, 37% of respondents said. Another 29% want to make an impression, and 15% want to create a special mood before a meeting. At the same time, 41% of women use more expensive cosmetics if a date is especially important to them, and 27% do it all the time.
If you add up the cost of dating for the year, including clothes, cosmetics and services, 33% of women spend from 10 thousand to 50 thousand rubles. Another 21% spend 50-100 thousand rubles, and 12% spend more than 100 thousand rubles. Up to 10 thousand rubles a year are covered by 18% of respondents, 16% do not calculate their expenses.
Three quarters of women — 75% — believe that men underestimate their costs of preparing for a date. Of these, 42% fully agree with this statement, while another 33% believe that it is "more likely so."
"Preparing for a date for many women is not so much about shopping as about psychological attitude. A new dress, styling, and a special fragrance help you switch to the "I'm going to an important meeting" mode. Often, the feeling itself plays an even greater role in the preparation process than the final image," said Larisa Karavaytseva, chief psychologist at Twinby online dating service.
She added that men usually take into account only direct expenses, while women include much more details in the image — care, manicure, accessories and other elements that form a holistic appearance.
Natalia Krasilnikova, PR director of the Mamba dating service, named the best places for dating on March 6. According to her, calmness and a sense of security are especially important for the first meeting after meeting on the Internet. Therefore, locations are popular where it is convenient to meet and, if necessary, quickly disperse, such as small cafes near the subway, afternoon brunches, museums, exhibitions, or walks around the city center.
