On March 11, the Supreme Court of Belarus for the first time found the deceased SS officer Hans Eugen Siegling guilty of committing genocide against the people of the country during the Great Patriotic War (WWII).

"To find guilty of genocide <...> In connection with death, to pass a guilty verdict without imposing punishment," RIA Novosti quoted the judge as saying.
