Moscow has increased the production of medicines for the heart and blood vessels

Moscow pharmaceutical enterprises have increased the production of drugs for the treatment of the cardiovascular system by almost 80% in 2025. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel on the IACH.

"Moscow is one of the main centers of pharmaceutical industry in the country," wrote the mayor of the capital. He stressed that the city is one of the leaders in the development and implementation of high-tech full-cycle technologies.

In particular, Moscow pharmaceutical plants produce affordable drugs to prevent heart attacks and strokes. Medicines are also being produced in the capital to prevent blood clots and treat high blood pressure.

Moscow-made drugs are supplied to other regions and outside of Russia, the head of the capital noted. For example, one of the companies that produces original medicines for the treatment of heart diseases produced 4 million more packages in 2025 than in the previous year. More than 550 thousand of them were exported.

A set of measures is being applied in Moscow to support the industry, Sobyanin stressed. For example, companies engaged in the production of medicines have access to tax incentives and a number of infrastructure solutions. One of the largest pharmaceutical clusters in the country, located in the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, also operates in the capital.
