Changan may start production of the CS35 Max crossover in Russia

Production of the Changan CS35 Max crossover may be launched in Russia. This was announced by representatives of the brand's Russian office at the presentation of the model, the Izvestia correspondent reports on March 11.

"We are considering the possibility of organizing the production of SC35 in Russia. One of the possible sites is the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant. However, no final decision has been made on this issue at the moment," the company said.

All Changan CS35 Max cars, which began selling in Russia last month, are manufactured in China, brand representatives said.

The Changan CS35 Max has a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 147 hp (280 Nm) combined with a seven-speed "robot", front-wheel drive. The length of the car is 4540 mm, the wheelbase is 2715 mm. The price varies from 2.6 million to 2.79 million rubles, depending on the configuration, the model is presented in three levels of equipment.

In Russia, the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant has launched the assembly of cars of the Chinese Deepal brand, which is part of the Changan concern. As it became known on January 30, the company has already launched the production of the G318 crossover with an angular body design.
