Beglov announced a record amount of investments in the fixed assets of St. Petersburg

By the end of 2025, the volume of investments in fixed assets of St. Petersburg enterprises reached record levels - more than 1.7 trillion rubles. This was announced by the governor of the city, Alexander Beglov, with reference to the operational data of Petrostat.

As specified, in 2025, the volume of investments amounted to 1734.8 billion rubles. One of the key indicators of the urban economy has also increased in comparable prices compared to the 2024 result.

"We continue to ensure the development of St. Petersburg by increasing the volume of investments in fixed assets. The cumulative increase in the index of physical volume of investments over the past 5 years has amounted to 137%," said Alexander Beglov. — Investments in machinery and equipment remain the main driver of growth. This is directly related to the ongoing technological modernization of urban enterprises."

In the structure of investments by type of fixed assets, investments in machinery and equipment account for the largest share — 39.5%. Investments in non—residential buildings and structures are in second place - 34.7%.

Transportation and storage are among the leading industries in terms of investments in fixed assets in January-December 2025. 353.7 billion rubles were allocated to this area, which is 24.4% of the total investments. The second place is occupied by real estate transactions — 204.7 billion rubles, or 14.1%.

A noticeable increase in investments was recorded in the manufacture of clothing — 2.6 times, motor vehicles, trailers and semi—trailers - 1.8 times. Investments in the production of finished metal products increased by 32%, food products — by 27.3%, electrical equipment — by 24.4%.

According to the structure of financing sources, 57.9% of investments were made by own funds of city organizations. The funds raised provided 42.1% of the total investments.
