- Zakharova raised questions with the UN over the lack of response to the strikes on Bryansk.
Russia has questions for the United Nations (UN) Secretariat due to the lack of a proper response to attacks by Ukrainian troops on civilian targets in Bryansk. This was announced on March 11 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The Kiev regime deliberately targeted the civilian population. The UN Secretariat, which regularly comments on the situation around the Ukrainian crisis, cannot help but see this," Zakharova wrote on the Telegram channel.
The diplomat added that the Permanent Mission of Russia will bring this information to the Secretariat.
The missile attack on Bryansk by the Ukrainian Armed Forces occurred a day earlier. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, stressed that the attack was an "inhumane terrorist act." The official representative of the UN chief, Stephane Dujarric, spoke out against attacks on civilians. Later, Izvestia published footage of the consequences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on Bryansk.
