An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked the Baghdad diplomatic support center, located near Baghdad airport. This was reported on March 11 by The Washington Post (WP), citing a security official.

"An unmanned aerial vehicle struck a large American diplomatic facility in Iraq. <...> The strike hit the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center, an extensive logistics hub for American diplomats," the publication says.

It is specified that six drones were heading towards the center, five of which were destroyed. According to the newspaper, the drone crashed in the area of the watchtower. According to a security official, the attack was allegedly carried out by Iraqi militias operating under the auspices of the Islamic Resistance.

On March 9, the SNN TV channel reported that the Islamic resistance in Iraq had announced 37 operations against enemy bases inside the country over the past 24 hours. It was clarified that dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles were used during the operations.

On March 9, the Reuters news agency reported that Iran had attacked a US military base near the Iraqi city of Erbil using drones. An American diplomatic facility near the Baghdad airport, the capital of Iraq, was also under fire.
