Starting from April 1, payments to participants of the Great Patriotic War will be increased by 6.8% in Russia, State Duma Deputy Natalia Poluyanova announced on March 11.

"Starting from April 1, 2026, payments to participants of the Great Patriotic War will be indexed in Russia by 6.8%. This increase will affect social pensions, as well as state pension provision for veterans, war invalids, besieged people and residents of besieged cities," Poluyanova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
