The budget for road repairs in Pskov has doubled
The Pskov authorities have increased the budget for road works by almost half compared to previous years. This was stated by the head of the city Boris Yelkin in his Telegram.
"The sum of 80 million rubles will give us the opportunity to improve the quality of infrastructure and bring the city's roads to a standard state," wrote the mayor, quoted by the Pskov News feed.
According to the mayor, utilities are now actively eliminating the effects of winter. Pit repairs are being carried out in the most emergency areas to ensure operational traffic safety, he added.
At the same time, the city is preparing for more extensive work. In the near future, the authorities will announce tenders for the traditional repair of roads with maps. This method allows not only to remove potholes, but also to combat rutting, which creates serious risks for drivers.
Earlier it was reported that the overhaul of the bridge over the Oleshenka River has started in the Pskov region. The facility is located on kilometer zero of the Osinovichi–Slavkovichi–Makhnovka–Sorokino highway.
