US President Donald Trump will blame Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he fails in a military operation against Iran. This was announced on March 10 by former US National Security Adviser John Bolton.

"If things go badly, I fully guarantee that Trump will blame Netanyahu for this. Because in Trump's "winners and losers" world, he is always a winner, not a loser. Therefore, if this action against Iran fails, the blame will be on someone else," the Telegram channel of SNN International quoted Bolton as saying.

According to Bolton, Netanyahu has long made overthrowing the Iranian authorities his top priority, and he has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. The former adviser recalled that during his first presidential term, Trump was against the idea of a direct conflict with Tehran.

On March 10, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported strikes on US military bases, as well as targets in Tel Aviv and the city of Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem. The statement notes that the attack was the next stage of a military operation conducted by Iran. According to the IRGC, several types of strategic missiles were used for the strikes.

On the same day, the IDF announced the start of a new series of strikes on Tehran. In particular, airstrips and air defense systems were attacked.
