Iran's intelligence agencies have announced the detention of 30 US and Israeli spies.
Iran's security services have detained 30 people on suspicion of spying for the United States and Israel. This was announced on March 10 by Al Jazeera TV channel in its Telegram channel.
"We [Iran's intelligence services] have arrested 30 spies, agents and internal field elements of the American and Zionist enemy," the statement said.
Details of the operation are currently not disclosed.
The local Qatar News Agency reported on March 4 that 10 agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had been arrested in Qatar. It was clarified that seven of the detainees were sent for espionage activities in order to collect information about vital and military facilities of the state, and three more were involved in sabotage activities.
