In the last months of his life, businessman Umar Dzhabrailov allegedly promoted his new business, the Umar Dzhabrailov Construction Company. He stated that she was restoring the infrastructure of Mariupol and other cities of Novorossiya. At the same time, the links in the advertisement led to the website of the company "1.62 Development", which Dzhabrailov did not own and did not even officially work for it.

"His task was to promote and scale the company. If we use him to take out a joint contract, he has a share of the contract. The conditions are simple. He was not officially registered with the company. We had an agreement, conditionally an "ambassadorship," Kharon Khamidov, co—founder of 1.62 Development, told Izvestia.

On the 1.62 Development website, in the "completed objects" section, it was written that the company was "proud of the iconic objects for the infrastructure of Mariupol," including five residential complexes: "House with Clock", "Maple Alley", "Lenin St., 77", "Ul. Poltava, 5", "Ul. Poltava, 7".

As Izvestia found out, this company did not build these facilities. So, the developer of the "House with a clock" was LLC "SZ RKS Development", and "Maple Alley" was the "Republican Construction Company".

Umar Dzhabrailov died on March 2 after a suicide attempt.

Details of the activities of 1.62 Development and the role of Umar Dzhabrailov in it are in the Izvestia investigation:
