Sobyanin spoke about advanced developments for firefighters
The Moscow Fire and Rescue garrison has replenished its fleet with advanced developments, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in the MAX messenger. In total, over the past 15 years, more than 780 units of modern fire-rescue, emergency rescue and other equipment have been purchased for the garrison.
"The safety of citizens is an absolute priority for the development of a modern metropolis. Therefore, we are consistently increasing the effectiveness of the protective infrastructure," Sobyanin wrote.
In particular, the service has received a new MRK-100 robotics complex, which is capable of extinguishing fires in dangerous and hard-to-reach areas. The device clears the way, cools the surfaces and ensures the safety of firefighters. The battery life of the complex is up to seven hours.
In addition, the garrison received a domestic-made snowmobile. All-wheel drive, 850 cc engine and off-road tires provide high cross-country capability, which speeds up the search and evacuation of victims, the delivery of rescuers and equipment.
A transport and rescue cabin, developed with the participation of specialists from the Moscow Aviation Center, was also handed over to the garrison. It is designed to weigh up to 750 kg, is equipped with a sliding door and is moved using a Ka-32 helicopter. The cabin allows you to evacuate people from high-rise buildings and from hard-to-reach places, as well as deliver rescuers and equipment.
Earlier, Sobyanin spoke about the modernization of fire stations in Moscow. Since 2011, 26 buildings for fire services have been built in the capital as part of a targeted investment program. In 2025, five new fire and rescue teams were created in Moscow.
