Yesterday, the last screening of one of the most spectacular projects of the Broadway Moscow theater company, created jointly with partners, the musical The Last Fairy Tale, took place. In honor of the completion of the rental, Dmitry Bogachev's team prepared a gift for the audience of the production: on March 9, an album of songs from the musical was released on all digital music platforms.

The musical "The Last Fairy Tale" is an original Russian project by theatrical producer Dmitry Bogachev ("Don't be Afraid of Anything, I'm with you", "Chess", "The Phantom of the Opera", Mamma Mia!). This is an exciting romantic, adventurous story about a young couple, Max and his girlfriend, his Wife, who are experiencing their first relationship crisis, which they have to fix in the world of the fabulous East, where they suddenly find themselves from modern Moscow after another quarrel. They are helped (and hindered by some) to fall in love with each other again in the "Thousand and One Nights" universe Scheherazade, Jinn, Aladdin, Ali Baba and other favorite characters of oriental fairy tales. In addition to the fascinating plot, the play is notable for its unprecedented scale – it became the most expensive production in Bogachev's entire 25-year career. The scenic effects of "The Last Fairy Tale" are breathtaking: viewers witness the wonders of the Genie (for example, the transformation of a Moscow apartment into a magical world), the majestic procession of a mystical caravan right through the hall, and, of course, the flight of three characters on a real magic carpet.

The audio version of "The Last Fairy Tale" includes 17 compositions: ballads of the main characters, incendiary ensemble numbers and, of course, Tarkan's super hit Şıkıdım, which became a "Fire Dance" performed by a female ensemble and musical star Anastasia Stotskaya. The rights to include the song in the Broadway Moscow production were provided by the author of the composition, Turkish pop legend Sezen Aksu, and the hit was arranged for a large orchestra by the guru of the Russian musical theater Evgeny Zagot, who wrote all the music of The Last Tale. In his score, he organically combined modern sound with classical Broadway musical, jazz, rock and oriental intonations, which are transmitted in the orchestra by traditional instruments – the Turkish oud and the Persian flute nai.

The poetic lyrics to the songs were created by Alexei Ivashchenko, a poet and musician, the author of "Nord-Ost" and the Russian lyrics of the world's best musicals, including "Chess" and "The Phantom of the Opera."

The recording of the album took place during the screenings of "The Last Fairy Tale" – this is a live performance. In addition to Anastasia Stotskaya (Scheherazade), Nikita Shishkin (Max), Daria Yanvarina (Zhenya), Kirill Gordeev (Sultan), Andrey Birin (Ali Baba), Alexey Falko (Aladdin), Artyom Yakovlev (Jinn) and the artists of the ensemble took part in it.
