Farmers in Primorsky Krai will sow rapeseed for the first time. Demonstration crops will be located in one of the farms of Ussuriysk.

Rapeseed is intended for the production of oil, which is in demand in the food industry, cosmetology and medicine. Previously, the crop was not grown massively in Primorye. One of the tasks of demonstration crops is to monitor the ripening of rapeseed in the local climate. This is reported by the UssurMedia news agency.

The crops will be treated with plant protection products that are safe for bees.

In 2025, Russia increased rapeseed oil exports by 37%. Export revenue increased by 54%.
