A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Russian military personnel continue their successful offensive in various directions. Units of the North group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized and amphibious assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of the settlements of Miropole, Maksimovshchyna, Novaya Sich and Yastrebyne in the Sumy region. In the Kharkiv region, units of three mechanized, motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the border guard detachment of the Border Service of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnyaya Pisarevka, Martove and Buzovo in the Kharkiv region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 240 military personnel, three armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles and three field artillery guns.

The units of the "Southern" group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. Formations of three mechanized, airmobile, assault and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Krivaya Luka, Piskunovka and Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost more than 145 soldiers, two Stryker armored personnel carriers and a US-made MaxxPro armored vehicle, five vehicles and four field artillery guns.

The fighters of the Center group of forces improved their tactical situation. The manpower and equipment of four mechanized, jaeger, airmobile, amphibious assault brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, a defense brigade and three National Guard brigades were also defeated. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 325 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles and 15 vehicles.

The Vostok group of troops has advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Formations of two mechanized, two assault brigades and five assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated. The enemy lost more than 300 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, two vehicles and a 155 mm M777 howitzer made in the USA.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage, training and launch sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 144 areas.

The Russian Air Force shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. Eight guided aerial bombs, three US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 241 aircraft-type drones were shot down by air defense systems.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 121335 unmanned aerial vehicles, 651 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28143 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1685 multiple rocket launchers, 33760 field artillery and mortars, 56352 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
