The turnover of the Moscow food industry grew by 12.3% over the year.%
The turnover of the capital's food industry increased by 12.3% in 2025 at comparable prices, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his channel in the MAX. Flour mills showed the biggest growth.
Moscow food industry enterprises are actively increasing their production capacities and introducing modern technologies, Sobyanin noted. He stressed that this contributes to the growth of output and improvement of product quality.
The capital's manufacturers produce almost all major product groups — dairy, meat, bakery, fish, confectionery and baby food. At the same time, products are supplied not only to residents of the capital, but also to other regions of the country.
The main share of turnover is accounted for by enterprises of the meat industry, manufacturers of bakery and flour confectionery products, as well as companies producing beverages. The revenue of flour mills increased almost one and a half times and reached 24.7 billion rubles, which is the largest growth in the industry.
"Food production is one of the leading areas of the capital's industry," Sobyanin said, recalling that more than 350 industry enterprises operate in the city.
More than 20 measures of urban support are available to food industry enterprises, including compensation of interest on investment loans and lease of land at a discounted rate for the creation of new industries.
Currently, the first stage of a food cluster is being created in the TiNAO. A meat processing plant distribution center will be built there, as well as enterprises producing bakery, dairy, confectionery, and ready meals. Their total area will be about 600 thousand square meters. In addition, last year the first specialized food technology park was opened in the west of Moscow.
