A court in Moscow has banned dozens of websites with instructions on how to create electric drums.

The Ostankino Court of Moscow satisfied the prosecutor's office's demand and banned resources for the manufacture of devices for poaching fish. This is stated in the materials reviewed by Izvestia on March 10.

"The court found that the site contains information about the manufacture of electric fishing rods; the monitoring act confirms that entry to the disputed site is free, does not require prior registration and password, any user can get acquainted with this information," one of the resolutions notes.

We are talking about sites where instructions are posted on how to assemble an electric fishing rod, a device that delivers an electric discharge into the water that kills fish and all living organisms within its range. It clarifies that administrative liability is provided for violations of the rules of hunting and fishing.

"In addition, this method of fishing is a method that causes suffering to an animal and violates the principle of avoiding harsh treatment of animals during hunting," the court stressed.

Last fall, the capital's courts already banned resources for the sale of such equipment. At that time, it was clarified that illegal fishing using electric current or other prohibited tools falls under the scope of paragraph "b" of Part 1 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum penalty under this article is imprisonment for two years.
