The criminal case against the ex-mayor of Bolshoy Kamen Abushayev has been terminated.

Law enforcement officers have terminated a criminal case against the former mayor of Bolshoy Kamen Primorsky Krai, Rustyam Abushayev, who is in the zone of a special military operation (SVO). This was reported by law enforcement agencies on Tuesday, March 10.

"It has been discontinued, but not for rehabilitation, for state awards," a law enforcement source told RIA Novosti.

Abushayev himself had previously reported on his Telegram channel that investigators, after conducting additional checks and proceedings, had concluded that there were grounds to terminate criminal cases against him. According to him, the decision was made due to the established non-involvement.
