The Iranian Foreign Ministry thanked CENTCOM for the recognition of HIMARS
On March 9, the head of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araqchi, expressed "gratitude" to the US Central Command (CENTCOM) for the de facto recognition of the use of the territories of Iran's neighboring states for the deployment and use of HIMARS missile systems.
Thus, he commented on the message from the CENTCOM press service about the use of HIMARS for strikes on the territory of Iran.
"Thank you, CENTCOM, for recognizing that you are using the territory of our neighbors to deploy HIMARS systems against our population," reads a message in X (ex. Twitter).
In addition, Araqchi added that Tehran intends to strike back at American missile systems and destroy them.
On that day, the IRGC reported that the Iranian military had carried out a new wave of attacks on US and Israeli targets using super-heavy missiles. It was noted that this wave of attacks was the 31st in a row since the beginning of Operation True Promise 4 and was dedicated to the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.
The New York Times newspaper, in turn, reported that Iran turned out to be better prepared for military operations than the administration of American leader Donald Trump had expected. In addition, representatives of the US administration have repeatedly warned about the likelihood of new losses among the United States military.
