Russian stormtroopers have cleared the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Assault units of the 36th Brigade of the 29th Army of the Vostok group of forces have cleared a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported on March 10 in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian position was located in a wooded area and was covered by artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Despite this, the Russian assault groups secretly reached the line of attack, bypassed the stronghold and encircled it.

One of the soldiers with the call sign Manny noted that the approach to the target was difficult due to the work of drones and enemy artillery.

"It was a difficult approach to the forest belt — artillery, drones, FPV, and drops were working. But we bypassed, encircled the stronghold and cleared it," he said.

The deputy commander of the battalion with the call sign Crimea stressed that the actions of the assault groups were coordinated with drone operators.

"The groups brought the UAVs under control as covertly as possible and launched an assault. During the battle, interaction with the drone operators was constant — they saw the situation, suggested where the enemy was appearing, to the right or to the left, and this allowed them to react in a timely manner and suppress it," he said.

As a result of the assault, Russian units destroyed up to eight enemy fighters and gained a foothold in their occupied position. It is noted that this milestone was important because the road to the next settlement passes through it, which opens up opportunities for further progress.

On March 9, Russian military personnel destroyed the MLRS multiple rocket launcher of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. The American-made installation was located near the village of Molodovaya and was hit by two guided missiles. As a result of the strike, the accompanying vehicles and up to ten Ukrainian servicemen were also destroyed.
