A sharp warming and a strong change in the river complicated the search for the missing children in Zvenigorod. Andrey Chernov, coordinator of the Lisa Alert search and rescue team, told Izvestia on March 9.

"The coastal areas are also flooded. We are systematically closing these sections and continuing to work upstream," he said.

According to Chernov, the parents of the missing are taking part in the search, despite the state of shock.

New large-scale searches will begin in the spring of 2026 using neural networks.

Three children, a 13-year-old girl, Alina, and two 12-year-old boys, Ivan and Bogdan, disappeared in the Zvenigorod area on March 7. One of the fishermen said that he saw children drowning in the water, but did not inform the emergency services, because, according to him, another witness of the incident called 112.

A criminal case has been opened into the disappearance of the teenagers. The head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report on the investigation. On March 8, the LizaAlert volunteer search and rescue team reported that almost 500 people had taken part in the search for children.
