- Szijjarto declared panic in Ukraine over the confiscation of millions of dollars in Hungary
Panic broke out in Ukraine due to the fact that Hungary confiscated tens of millions of dollars and euros in cash, as well as gold, which were transported by employees of the state-owned Ukrainian Oschadbank. This was announced on March 9 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjaro.
"Today, the Hungarian Ambassador in Kiev was again summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine after a noticeable panic broke out in Kiev due to the fact that Ukrainians were caught red-handed while moving hundreds of millions of euros and dollars through Hungary," he is quoted as saying on the website of the television program Híradó.
