On March 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov announced a telephone conversation between the Russian leader and his American counterpart Donald Trump.
"The presidents of Russia and the United States had a telephone conversation this evening. Donald Trump called Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to discuss a number of extremely important topics related to the current development of the international situation," Ushakov said.
