Russian military personnel of the 152 mm towed Hyacinth-B artillery crew of the 1st division of the 268th self-propelled artillery regiment of the 27th division of the Center group of forces use the weapon as a counter-battery in the Dnepropetrovsk direction in the zone of special military operation (SVO). Kirill Chernov, the commander of the cannon, told about this on March 9.

"We are actively working. It definitely takes 10 shells a day. We are working on artillery, transportation, and enemy manpower. Hyacinth also works like counter—battery warfare, suppressing enemy artillery when it is detected," he said in an interview with Izvestia military correspondent Alexander Safiulin.

According to him, Polish guns are often found among the hit targets. Chernov stressed that, despite the activity of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk direction, Russian fighters are suppressing all their attacks and pushing the front line further.

Chernov noted that the active actions of the Ukrainian army are probably related to the situation. He expressed the opinion that the enemy is trying to break through due to the weather conditions.

The senior gunner of the gun, Sergey Malykh, stressed that drone calculations help the military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in finding targets and working on them with the Hyacinth-B. According to him, they keep a good eye on the sky and "find out who is sitting in every corner."

On March 9, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the work of military traffic police specialists in the military area. It was clarified that the road can be unpredictable, so military traffic inspectors are on duty around the clock and are ready to make decisions in emergency situations at any time.
