A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The southern group of troops liberated the village of Golubovka in the DPR and defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of Druzhkovka, Alexandrovka, Kramatorsk and Konstantinovka. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 200 militants, M113 and Stryker armored personnel carriers, three armored combat vehicles, 19 vehicles, four field artillery guns, three ammunition depots, seven fuel and materiel depots.

In addition, the Zapad group of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions, defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigades in the Kharkiv region and the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to 190 militants.

"The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, a defense brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated in areas of settlements <...> of the Donetsk People's Republic, <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 315 servicemen," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated energy infrastructure facilities providing the Armed Forces, training and launching sites for long-range attack drones, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

In turn, air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, three HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 754 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 670 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 121,094 UAVs, 651 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28,130 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,685 multiple rocket launchers, 33,736 field artillery and mortars, 56,300 pieces of special vehicles.
