On March 9, Izvestia correspondent Yevgeny Bykovsky showed footage of the aftermath of a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kiev region of Donetsk.

It is specified that the militants carried out attacks on the Kiev district of Donetsk with French-made SCALP-EG missiles.

"As you can see, one of the hospital buildings is completely burned out, windows are broken in nearby houses," the correspondent said.

On March 8, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, announced that as a result of the attack on the Kiev district of Donetsk, four people were killed, including a child, and 12 more civilians, including a teenager, were injured. He noted that an entire family was killed in a mining accident in the Kurakhovsky municipal district. A teenager was also injured.

In addition, at least 20 apartment buildings were damaged in the attack. An off-site investigator of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation noted that the enemy had attacked a peaceful area of the city, which had no weapons or military equipment.
