More than 130 projects using artificial intelligence have been implemented in Moscow.

The Moscow government has implemented more than 130 projects using artificial intelligence in various fields, from monitoring landscaping and transport management to making diagnoses for polyclinic patients. In 2025 alone, the city launched over 20 such projects. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in the MAX.

"Artificial intelligence helps to design buildings, optimize purchases, write code and solve many other tasks. Some of the implemented technologies are our own urban developments, some are provided by our business partners. The large—scale implementation of artificial intelligence is fully consistent with the objectives of the national Digital Economy project, which aims to modernize technology and improve the quality of life of our country's citizens," Sergei Sobyanin wrote.

Medicine, in particular radiation diagnostics, has become one of the key areas of application of artificial intelligence. Today, Moscow radiologists use more than 60 AI services that help identify signs of diseases in 43 clinical areas.

In 2025, doctors began using two new services to diagnose multiple fractures of the ankle and wrist joints. Another tool is designed to detect fractures of the shoulder joint, one of the most difficult areas for interpreting X—rays.

About 10 AI solutions are used in the transport sector. In 2025, the world's first unmanned tram with passengers on a regular route appeared in Moscow — since September, it has transported more than 60 thousand people. By the end of 2026, 15 routes will become unmanned, and by 2030, about two—thirds of the entire tram fleet in the capital.

AI is also actively used in the Moscow Electronic School. In 2025, the Digital Teacher service was supplemented with assignments in English, as well as in physics and computer science. Since its launch, more than 1.1 million people have used it, and the number of requests has exceeded 17 million.
