Diving operations resumed at the site of the search for three children in Zvenigorod

Diving operations have resumed in Zvenigorod, near Moscow, where three children disappeared. This was announced on March 9 by the press service of the search operation headquarters.

"The divers resumed work after being suspended overnight," the ministry told TASS.

It is specified that over the past day, specialists have examined 600 square meters. They say, however, the search has not yet yielded results. In addition, the bottom relief is being studied using echo sounders from boats and video cameras. Hiking groups also continue to work.

Three children, a 13-year-old girl, Alina, and two 12-year-old boys, Ivan and Bogdan, disappeared in the Zvenigorod area on March 7. One of the fishermen said that he saw children drowning in the water, but did not inform the emergency services, because, according to him, another witness of the incident called 112.

A criminal case has been opened into the disappearance of the teenagers. The head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report on the investigation. On March 8, the LizaAlert volunteer search and rescue team reported that almost 500 people had taken part in the search for children.
