Meat imports from Brazil to Russia have more than quadrupled

Russia increased meat imports from Brazil by more than four times and at the end of February became one of the five main buyers of meat products from this country. This is evidenced by the data of the Brazilian State Statistics Service, which was cited by RIA Novosti on March 8.

Based on statistics, in February 2026, Russia purchased 13.4 thousand tons of cattle meat from Brazil, which amounted to 64.8 million tons. This is the maximum since November last year.
